That being said i'll get started, one thing you'll notice with the way some guys talk, they use a lot of hockey slang, which i'll do my best to translate to make sense.
Wednesday March 24,
The playoffs unofficially begin for us today, at 6:30 pm we'll be boarding the Powerhouse (bus) and start to make our way south without an exact destination in mind, we're still awaiting our opponent but need to get on the road so we can practice tomorrow and prepare for Rapid City's first ever playoff game. For those of you who don't know on our trek home from Odessa Tx, we were 12 hours into our trip home when the Powerhouse took a hit it struggled to bounce back from, after Sam our trainer to a quick look at it he came to the conclusion that Powerhouse could not go on and needed a replacement. A charter bus was the savior of the day, piloted by a fine gentlemen named Aurthur. 12 hours on a bus then a break down can bring out the worst in a human, i assure you, when curse words were flying around a little to carelessly on the charter bus (not directed at anyone) just bursts of frustration, Aurthur kindly asked us to stop all the profanity, and like Colt King, we all quickly shut it for our bussy. Of course it did not stop us from throwing The Big Lebowski into the DVD player which, for those of you who haven't seen it, could set records on how many times an F-Bomb can be used in a movie. I'm glad to say that after being put on a quick 2 day IR the powerhouse is back and action and Timbus (Powerhouse Pilot) is back in the corner saucing the biscuit.
"Saucing the biscuit."

ReplyDeletep.s. Can you please address what "saucing the biscuit" is in your next post?
Never mind. Passing the puck. I am going to ask Hugh if he knew.
ReplyDeleteSo, as it is being hotly discussed in other places, any insight you can provide on the new no-camera rule that we've seen come down? (Meaning no SLR/3" Lens cameras)?? I'm sure Im not the only one who'd love to hear what the players think about the pics and the new rule.
ReplyDeletesorry Tara i really have no idea what rule your talking about, you'll have to enlighten me.
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to where they are "clarifying" - http://www.facebook.com/#!/notes/rapidcity-rush/clarification-of-the-new-rush-camera-rule/412032967952 - they mention protecting the rights of players (which is where I was curious of your input) and the Rush trademark -- I'm not one who takes pics, but am near those that do and know they haven't been selling or making any type of profit from them -- they just do it for the enjoyment! :) Thanks for your input!! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry your first game can't be at home. There are alot of us upset about that. What is the Civic center thinking???? Good luck we will have the radio on while your away.
ReplyDeleteWell, my aunt and I decided here at the last moment to head out to see you guys play tomorrow -- we should be by the tunnel, or so they say! Good luck!!
ReplyDeletei am SO happy i found your blog!! it's so cool reading about how you guys are doing. all my friends have been telling me that i am obsessed with Rush, which isn't entirely true. well, maybe a little. anyway, congratulations on winning! can't wait to see you all Wednesday night! good luck to all of you! =)
ReplyDeleteI understand the picture issue is in regards to a clause in the PHPA contract. Being a union man myself, I will abide by any union contract, even if it means no more pics from me.
